Here’s the thing about writing category romance: titles rotate every month. Tomorrow, the May releases will hit the shelves and the April releases will only be available online.
It’s been a short but intense few months as I released The Seven-Day Target into the world. Overall, it’s been an amazing experience. The book was listed as one of the top 100 bestselling romance titles by Bookscan for the first two weeks in April, and that was an unexpected surprise. Today it releases in Australia, which means that The Seven-Day Target has now been sold on three continents. I have a hard time wrapping my mind around my book being available for sale in a foreign country, but in the abstract, I think that’s pretty cool.
Finally, I’m happy to report that May Day is not the end of my publishing journey! Early in April, my editor offered (and I accepted!) a two-book contract with Harlequin Romantic Suspense. I am now polishing my next book and plotting my third, and I look forward to sharing both with readers in the not-too-distant future.
Thanks for sharing this experience with me. It’s been an incredible ride.
